I've been trying to draw everyday, which is a lot harder than it sounds like it should be. In the past, I would set drawing challenges for myself, then got bored or frustrated with them after a few months. After analyzing the problem, I realized that to do something on a daily basis, it needed to be something I could consistently succeed at. Now I'm focusing on making my daily drawing habit as fun and easy as possible, so my doodling usually runs to cute animals, simple shape creatures, and characters or faces. The drawings themselves are pretty scrappy, which helps me focus on just drawing, not making something polished. It remains to be seen if this new practice will be the winning one, but so far, I'm satisfied with what I've been producing, which is a good sign.
onward and upward,
Bethany
