April '16 Sketchbook

Apologies for the somewhat skimpy selection of sketchbook sketches. Things have been crazy around here because (*drum roll please*) Jon and I are buying a house!!! We are so, sooo excited and at least 75%  of my brain space is presently occupied with house stuff. However, I do intend to keep blogging every week, so we'll see how that goes.

November-October '15 sketchbook

Since the last two months have been crazy, I opted to do one sketchbook post for both October and November. Also, I'm posting this one week ahead of schedule because I'm taking next week (Thanksgiving) off. I hope everyone has a lovely holiday (if you're celebrating it) and I'll be back again in December! ^_^

June '15 Sketchbook

Since being out of town last week, I was worried I wouldn't have much in my sketchbook to blog about for this month! But I finished up a few environment studies from my last sketchbook, added them to what I already had and ended up with a nice little collection. My sister's wedding was lovely and it was great to see so many family members! Now, I just need to get my life back in order and start drawing again!

Also, Happy Half Christmas!! I know we have a lot of summer left to go, but I'm already day dreaming of cooler weather. :-)

May '15 Sketchbook

Lots of ink and watercolor portraits this month. I've been making really good use of those water brush pens! It's been nice to practice coming up with color pallets and color combinations.
