We are almost, almost to the end of this challenge! Only a three days to go! I had originally planned to do a sketchbook post this week, but then opted to post my Inktober drawings instead. I'll share the last three next week.

Inktober '15: week 2

Inktober continues! Coming up with a new character every day is exhausting and I wish my schedule allowed me to put equal amounts of time and efforts into each design. Still, I do feel more confident in my inking skills now and I'm pleased with how a lot of these characters are turning out. After this weekend, we'll be over half way through the challenge!

Inktober '15 Week 1

First week of Inktober completed! I really wanted to have these colored before I posted them....but that didn't happen. Trying to design a brand new character every day is really eating up my time! But I'm excited to see how this challenge progresses throughout the coming weeks.

October '15 skill building: Maori designs

Doing things a little differently today. Since Inktober is this month (Yay!! :-D), I will be creating and sharing an ink drawing each day, then gathering them up in groups and posting them on the blog, (hopefully with color added!) At the moment, I only have one ink drawing done, so I'm going to shift my schedule and post about skill building now. Next week, I'll start sharing my Inktober drawings in larger batches.

Also, today's skill building topic is a little out of the ordinary. I went on a Maori design Pinterest binge yesterday and since the shapes are sooo beautiful, I decided to try drawing some of them. They're really more doodles than full on studies, but I figured it would still be fun to post them here.
